After The Storm, Evening Solitude

a quiet sunset after the storm

Oh, for a lodge in some vast wilderness,
Some boundless contiguity of shade,
Where rumor of oppression and deceit,
Of unsuccessful or successful war,
Might never reach me more!

William Cowper

SF, is that picture of your yard? already to green and beautiful?

Yes, SG, it's the West side yard from the porch. That's the lawn with the moss. It's been raining too much lately to mow it down. I put Turf Builder with Moss Control on last week [see earlier post Of Moss & Men]. I'm glad it didn't turn black, which sometimes happens. I will probably mow on Thursday, if there is no rain and take a better picture then. This was a sunset last night but our sunsets are often fleeting and this one kind of fizzled into just a glimmer with all the clouds. Washington is "The Evergreen State." And it usually is, except in late summer when stuff turns brown. Then it greens up again for fall. Thanks for visiting! Enjoy the serenity! :)
