SQ!! Thanks for posting your thoughts! I know, it's kind of cryptic, but that's what I like about Mencken. He's often infuriating, too, but whatever he writes, I always find it interesting! And usually very down to earth, or as we say now, "grounded" or "centered." LOL Funny how the concepts remain the same but their labels change with each generation. That's why I love to find these quotes from the past -- they're just as timely today as when they were written. :D
It's been a busy weekend and HOT for this side of the mountains. We seem to have gone from winter right into summer mode with very little transition and it's hard to get used to overnight. LOL But I won't complain after the rotten winter we had. :D
