Here is the absolutely best television advertisement for ANY product I have ever seen. The Gate created and produced. The music was composed by Darren Solomon, recorded in house at Big Foote Music, New York, and sung by Rosi Golan. It's a short film with top-notch production values, two adorable canine stars, a sweet song, and a compelling little story. It's simply a gem! Though it is usually shown on the cable business shows, it is beginning to take on a life of its own, despite the commercial aspects, and is getting quite a buzz now on YouTube and around the blogosphere. Enjoy!
Have a wonderful day!

What a wonderful little story, that is the sweetest dog. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend, looks like we're getting good weather hope you are also.
I love it, SF! Thank you for sharing! I'll be passing around the link to this post so all my dog-loving pals can enjoy it, too!
So adorable! :)
SQ!!! I'm so glad you like it!! Yes, we're getting a spell of hot weather [low 70s to low 80s] and no rain until after the 4th!!!! WOOOOO-HOOOOO! Great for the tomatoes, not good for the fuchsias. But I'll take it and just water the heck out of them!! LOL You have a great weekend, too!!! :D
Flea!!! I am so glad you enjoyed it!! And thanks for sharing it with your friends, too. It's just such a neat production, I want all animal-lovers to see it!! But it's like only Bloomberg and Fox Business, not everybody's favorite TV shows [unless you enjoy reality disaster TV] -- it should be on baseball games and the Weather Channel so everyone could enjoy it. I thought we all needed some cheering up, like the little co-star in the ad, after the shocking news the last few days. And the little star delivers! Thanks a bunch & have a wonderful weekend!! :D
Colleen, thank you so much for visiting and commenting today!! This is something I just couldn't not share. I've been seeing it maybe a week or ten days and as far as I know it hadn't been making the regular rounds of the blogs, so I'm so glad to be one of the first to share it. I just love spreading a little sunshine and these adorable pups deliver! Have a wonderful weekend! :D
Thank you for the dog commercial..I'll be sending it round the doggy circle in France.
Fly in the Web!! Thank you so much for visiting today! Your comment is most appreciated!! I do hope that your friends enjoy this little TV spot, too, and I thank you for sharing it with them. May it bring a smile to all!! :D
Such a cute video (or fideo?!!!)! TFS! Maybe if "fly" sends it around France, they'll understand the words to the song!
Carol!! LOL fideo, that's perfect!! Yes, I'm sure they'll understand all the words. It's funny to pick out a word here or there -- enough to get the gist of it but certainly not the nuances! Thanks for visiting & commenting! Have a wonderful weekend!! :D
Adorable! It's amazing they could get the little guy to sit still that long - my brother has a Boston/ RatTerrier mix (called a BRAT) that NEVER stops moving!
Curio!! LOL, none of those little terrier fellas can stop moving!! They are so lively they're positively wired! I'm glad you stopped by today and thanks so much for your comment! Have a "lively" weekend yourself! :D
AWWWWW! so cute! Reminds me of my poor husband when I'm not feeling well and he tries to cheer me up: do you want a massage? a popsicle? should I cook you dinner?..etc.
You have an award waiting for you at my blog :)

Kate!! Thank you for your great comments -- it is very much like that, hubby doing anything and everything to cheer up sweetheart. And, the opposite, too -- when he's not feeling well.
Thank you so much for the award!! I am humbled and honored to accept it!! You are so sweet!!! :D
Finally got in here! Cute Video. Thanks for sharing. :)
That was lovely!
Being technically challenged..O.K., useless with a computer...I am having trouble sending this gorgeous clip out via blog.
However, I have asked two friends to look at it, and, to judge by their e mail history, it will be round France in a couple of weeks!
The man in my life, ex stockbroker from the days when it was a respectable profession, before the banks muscled in, looked at it and asked himself why any financial institution would compare their client offering to a smelly bone...
He loved the dogs, though.
Oh, part of the point of French songs is that the singer mumbles so you can't hear how trite the lyrics are.
This does not apply to the lovely Jacques Brel, who was Belgian!
grouchow!!! I'm so glad your computer worked for you so you could see it!! Persistence works! I hope you'll be able to tame that pesky IE8 beast. Thanks for visiting!! :D
Glynis!! Thanks for visiting and I'm so glad you enjoyed those little sweethearts! :D
Fly!! Thanks for getting back to me about the computer challenges you are having with the clip. Thank goodness for your two friends who can share it. I think you can include this link in any emails you send out. It will go directly to the post's page, even after it no longer is the most recent post:

[It's not an active link, so you will have to either make it so in your emails or instruct your friends to copy and paste it into the browser window.] I hope that helps.
Your man got it right! I was shocked the first time I saw just exactly what those two little pups were selling -- but laughter over that soon subsided and I have just embraced the cinematic qualities of the advertisement and totally ignore the voice-over and titles for the financial institution.
It's like a comment on the financials throwing us a bone to make us happy, despite the fact all our money has lost value, and the as you say once honorable professions of stockbroker and banker have been devalued, too. And of course once confiscatory taxes kick in for a host of ridiculous laws, all we're going to get for a lifetime of hard work is a bone -- if we're lucky and someone loves us enough to share.
You have helped all of us "ignorant-of-the-French-language" types with your comments on the music. Thanks for the tip on Jacques Brel. [I've always liked Edith Piaf and have a few of her classics.] What I love about French songs is the feeling they impart -- so I don't suppose I really need to know ALL the words. One here or there and the emotion the song conveys is all I need to really enjoy. [German songs are a whole different kettle of fish and I like to know what all of those words are. But they don't mumble like the French do, so it's quite a bit easier to understand. Ooops, off topic. LOL]
Thanks Fly for your comments and good luck with the link I sent. Have a wonderful Sunday evening!! :D
Thank you for the link...I will be wrestling with it later today.
Three falls or a knockout to decide the winner...
Fly!! LOL -- I hope you win!! :D
Looks like a great dog !
Blessingsgoddess!! Yes, I think he is quite a charming little fellow!! Thanks so much for commenting today and becoming a follower AND bringing your unique photos of Greece to the Ranch! I just love your blog -- it's a vacation for me everytime I visit! :D
Awwww, that little doggy's beyond adorable.
Such a great ad! The only problem being, the subject matter is so engaging it takes the focus off the product. But, from the sounds of your report, it's going viral, so they're probably not worried.
Thanks for another great blog moment. I seem to have one of those whenever I visit you!
Milli!! I agree about the message being lost with all the cuteness.
There is a shorter version, with the dog story completely in the background, and the voice over dominating the entire presentation with non-stop talk. It's basically terrible. The storyline with the dogs is an annoyance, the music sounds like mumbling in French -- why did they do that? The story was too popular and they weren't hooking the viewers?
In the long version, I think there is TOO much of an advertisement. One panel at the end with a web address or phone number would have been plenty.
I'm fascinated by the subtleties of communication. The message in the long version [this one] carries the "feel-good" and "life is good" message and even makes the product attractive -- but the short version is crowded and confused, with the message diluted.
I'm so glad you stopped by & commented -- I just love these discussion!! :D
Oh, that is adorable! Thanks for sharing!
Mary Anne!! Thanks for your comment!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the little canine stars!! :D
