Hello Blogging Friends!
This week and into next week are going to be busy times here at the Ranch, so I've decided to discontinue posting any new entries for a while. If I can squeeze in some time to blog, the first thing I'm going to do is visit your blogs to keep up with what you've been doing. I have been remiss in reading your latest entries for about a week now and I am so sorry!! I miss the terrific variety I find in your blogs that makes me think, tickles my funnybone, or just makes me feel great.
If you're new to Sunflower Ranch, you're invited to read and comment on any of the previous entries. I do hope you'll find something of interest and add your voice to the conversation. To add to the "festivities" I'm celebrating my birthday this week -- and -- we're having a heat wave, so on top of everything else going on, I'm gettin' older and gettin' hot -- two phrases you rarely see associated with each other, but in this case, it's true. LOL

SG!! Thank you!! I hope your own little Leo had a great birthday, too!!! I missed reading everybody's blogs and their posts to SF, too, but I have to tell you, two weeks sure flew by too FAST!! It's not back to the grind -- just back to doing something I have found out I love A LOT! So see you soon!! :D
Flea!! Thank you so much!! It was very busy around the Ranch! The worst part was the extreme heat wave -- it kind of kept us home with canceled plans for a few days. [Hubby is still recovering I think.] It was 106 degrees on my birthday!!! Now, granted, I'd like to rack up that many YEARS, but please -- not that TEMPERATURE EVER AGAIN!! Our usual temps are mid-70s and I've even had a rare T-storm on my birthday -- but this one is for the record book. If I'd wanted to go to Phoenix in the summer, we would have gone -- but no, it came to us!! LOL
I'm glad it's cooled down now and I can get back to regular blogging -- visiting all the blogs I love so much and trying to put up some interesting items here, too. Thanks a bunch and see you soon! :D
SQ!! Happy [belated] Birthday to You, too!! I hope you had a lot of fun on your day!! We had very high temps [106 degrees!!!] and skipped the cake -- it would have melted in the car getting from the bakery to the party -- so we had chilled watermelon!! It was the funniest and funnest birthday party I've ever had -- surprise drop-in guests all crowded in the master suite -- too funny!! But no seeds on the carpet, everyone chilled out, just a few piles of watermelon rinds -- just a hoot! We had fun. Hope you did too! :D
William!! Thank you!! Don't worry about your award, I have another one, too, from weeks ago to organize and distribute. I will be doing that this month, I hope, now that I'm back!!
I'm looking forward to reading your latest poems and getting caught up on what I missed -- I am so glad you're writing and posting new material all the time. I think that discipline is the best for accomplishing the completion of a collection -- write every day, post, get comments, then revise if you want and soon you'll have a hefty collection ready to publish on its own as an ebook or physical book.
