Mad Footnotes to Spring...

With daffodils mad footnotes for the spring...
~Conrad Aiken

The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.

Officially Spring is just a bit over a month away. I'm holding on to that glorious thought. These daffodils certainly help keep me in the mood for the longer and warmer days ahead. Can't wait to get over the mid-winter blahs. Hope you do, too! Here's an early nod to more comfortable days ahead!

Have a great day!

I turned on my screen, turned up Sunflower Ranch and those flowers appeared.
What a boost. Thank you.

Fly!! Good morning!! I am so glad they gave you a boost!

We've had a very mild winter and everything is ahead of schedule. Our area has a valley-wide daffodil festival in April with many parades, a fair, and lots of activities. The daffs are up in the fields already and are likely to be finished blooming before the festival begins! LOL

I'll keep you posted if the dirty little secret is true -- they will import flowers and use silk flowers to fill out the displays on the floats! Shocking! LOL

But for now, we can just enjoy them as is, where they pop up. :D

I'm normally a winter girl, but I've been living in the south for a while now, and I'm starting to long for warmer weather more and more. I'm ready for Spring already! Your daffodils make me want to buy a new rose for our flower bed...maybe a David Austin Queen of Sweden rose (although I rarely buy from anyone other than Heirloom Roses)! :)

LME!! I know the feeling about waiting for spring to arrive. It's an awful temptation to drop everything and go outside and garden, even though it's going to freeze again at night.

You can't go wrong with David Austin or Heirloom Roses!!! They are the top of the line rose producers. Good luck with choosing just one to add to your rose bed! LOL They are all beautiful and way too tempting! LOL Have fun! :D
